Alistair Coleman is a composer from Washington, DC, currently based in Philadelphia. Recent commissions include concertos for violinist Soovin Kim and cellist Zuill Bailey, and a new string quartet in collaboration with the Glenstone Museum and Smithsonian Institute. His music has been performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Alice Tully Hall, and has been recognized by ASCAP, the American Composers Forum, and NPR. Recently, he was named the 2023-25 Composer-in-Residence of Young Concert Artists.
