Alistair Coleman is a composer from Washington, DC, currently based in Philadelphia. His recent commissions include concertos for violinist Soovin Kim and cellist Zuill Bailey, as well as a new string quartet created in collaboration with the Glenstone Museum and Smithsonian Institution. His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Alice Tully Hall, and has received honors from ASCAP, the American Composers Forum, and NPR. He is currently the 2023–25 Composer-in-Residence of Young Concert Artists.
