Alistair Coleman is a composer from Washington, DC, currently based in Philadelphia. Recent commissions include concertos for violinist Soovin Kim and cellist Zuill Bailey. Recently, his String Quartet “Moonshot” was premiered by the Abeo Quartet in collaboration with the Glenstone Museum and Smithsonian Institute. His music has been recognized by ASCAP, American Composers Forum, and NPR. In 2019, his sonata for Joseph Alessi of the New York Philharmonic completed tours of China and Japan.
